Who We Are

Martinsville operates a Senior Center in a historic former synagogue. Martinsville Senior Center offers a wide array of activities to senior citizens living in the City of Martinsville, activities designed to enrich quality of life and expand social and nutrition offerings.

Transportation is provided by appointment only Monday through Friday for seniors who are age 60 or older, and to physically challenged adults. Transportation is available to medical appointments, pharmacies, grocery stores and other support services for the elderly.

Transportation is also available for the Food 'n' Fun Program, which meets on Wednesdays at the Senior Center at 21 Moss Street. A hot lunch is provided for seniors along with other interesting activities.

The Center offers recreation activities, and details those available programs in the bi-monthly newsletter Senior Times. To join the mailing list, call the Senior Center at 276-403-5260. Activities include art lessons, Bible study, dances, bingo, picnics, golf tournament, health fair and crafts.
