Area Agency on Aging

McDowell County Commission on Aging is a local area agency on aging serving Bradshaw, Welch, and McDowell County.  Programs assisting seniors and disabled residents are available to help residents in need get the necessary services to enrich their lives. 

Some of the services available are nutritional, educational, in-home care, hygiene care, recreational, socialization, errand and household tasks, transportation, and shopping for eligible community members.  Also available are respite services for caregivers.

Visit Assisted Transportation for transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping or recreational activities.
