Event Description

Workshop for Kin and Grandparents Raising Grandchildren. Youth Mental health First Aid USA is a Free public education program which introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents (ages 12 to 18), builds an understanding of the importance of early intervention, and teaches individuals how to help an adolescent experiencing a mental health challenge. Adults who regularly interact with you should take the course, as well as grandparents who care for grandchildren and kin who care for young family members. Workshop will be Tuesday, October 30, 2018 and Wednesday, October 31, 2018 from 9am until 1:30pm at Community Development Building Multipurpose Room. contact Debbie Peterson, Chesterfield Senior Advocate, at 804-768-7878 or email PrestonD@chesterfield.gov for more information and to register.
