Help Raise Awareness for Alzheimer's Disease. Paint Downtown Fredericksburg Purple - Wear purple and participate in our games for a chance to win a prize. Event is Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 9am until 2pm. Several merchants will become purple this weekend as part of an effort to raise awareness about Alzheimer's. Shoppers can stop by merchants, - to name a few - Agora Downtown Coffee Shop, Jay's Downtown Sports Lounge, Rocking Horse Gallery, Frenchman's Corner, Bella Hair -- to learn about the disorder and to donate to the Fredericksburg Alzheimer's Association.
