Who We Are

Roanoke City Redevelopment & Housing Authority (RRHA) offers housing assistance. RRHA administers and manages a HUD assisted housing program that provides apartments for low to moderate-income families.RRHA’s public housing program is a rental assistance program governed by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The program provides housing assistance to low-income families in multifamily and some single-family dwellings, owned and operated by RRHA.

Public housing units range in size from efficiency to 5-bedroom apartments.  Handicap accessible apartments are available for both families and individuals.

Two high-rise buildings offer independent living to elderly and individuals with disabilities and couples. The high rises provide on-site social activities, craft and game rooms, a library, community room and laundry facilities on each floor.

Public housing includes Lansdowne Park, The Villages at Lincoln, Hunt Manor, Melrose Towers, Jamestown Place, Morningside Manor, Bluestone Park, Indian Rock Village, and other sites.
