Who We Are
The Partners in Aging (PIA) Board has established a respite grant for family caregivers in honor. of Betty Bazemore, an advocate for older adults and children's causes. This grant will be aimed at families who are above poverty level, but cannot afford to hire caregivers for their loved ones. The grant will be given one-time for respite for either an 8 hour or two 4 hour care. The application can be viewed or downloaded here.
We have established a subcommittee of the Board to review applications from families.
Partners in Aging hopes that you, your organiations, and friends can help to fund the grant. PIA has started the seed money of $500 for the grant. Any amount would be helpful. We hope that we can continue this grant and for it to become self-sustaining.
We are asking for donations to this fund be written to Partners in Aging with a memo for Betty Bazemore Memorial respite grant. Your check can be mailed to: PO Box 8237, Fredericksburg, VA 22404.
