Arthritis Rehabilitation

Spectrum Physical Therapy offers Arthritis Rehabilitation.  Arthritis affects the joints of the body such as the hip, knee, shoulder, and hand.  It can also affect the spinal column known as degenerative disc disease (DDD).  Symptoms of Arthritis include persistent joint pain, joint stiffness and inflexibility, loss of joint range of motion, chronic inflammation, and joint swelling.

Physical therapy is a conservative, non-invasive and effective way to treat arthritis. The primary focus of therapy is to regain the overall range of motion and flexibility and increase strength and endurance for improved independence with daily activities. This is accomplished through muscle exercises to increase flexibility, strength, and endurance.  Aquatic therapy may also be a helpful treatment for Arthritis.
