Community Outreach, Speakers, Liaison

Community Outreach at LINK is responsible for scheduling and maintaining speaking engagements to tell the story of LINK's programs and the opportunities to help serve - out to area churches, civic groups, businesses and individuals. It is also the aim of this program to actively recruit volunteers and mentors, and participate in planning and training volunteers and mentors. Additionally, Outreach personal attends area meetings, building collaborative partnerships with other agencies.



Outreach is the liaison between LINK and area businesses, responsible for soliciting specific materials, services, and monetary donations. Planning, advertising, assisting with community awareness events and newsletter publication required by the executive director are performed.



Providing outreach to the elderly in the community, regular visits to area Adult Day Care facilities and nursing homes for Pet therapy and rhythm therapy are initiated and maintained. Utilizing the connection between our YouthLink children, intergenerational visits are also planned and actualized.
