Communication Referral Information and Assistance

Mountain Empire Older Citizens (MEOC) has trained staff that offer information, assess individual needs, identify services needed, link individuals to needed services at MEOC or elsewhere in the community, and follow up as needed.

MEOC is an Aging and Disabilities Resource Center (ADRC) whose goal is to meet all the requirements associated with that designation and provides these services to older persons and to adults with disabilities eighteen years of age and older, families, and caregivers. MEOC receives referrals for assistance from many sources including individuals themselves, family members, neighbors, ministers, hospitals, home health agencies, and others.
