Who We Are

Senior Loop Transportation (the Loop)- Weekly or monthly scheduled transportation service to grocery stores for the residents of five independent living facilities for older adults.



Residents of Culpepper Garden, The Carlin, Claridge House, Hunters Park and Woodland Hill should request a registration form from the management of their residence. The form will be forwarded to the STAR office and STAR staff will schedule the service.  An application can also be requested from STAR at 703-228-1900. 

Diamond Transportation provides the service using a wheelchair-accessible van, at no charge. The Senior Loop is a joint project of the Departments of Environmental Services and Human Services.



There is also a Summer Loop that offers transportation to participating Senior Farmer's Markets.

Serves residents of The Carlin, Claridge House, Culpepper Garden, Hunter’s Park and Woodland Hill, and a few neighborhoods. Other Arlington residents age 55 and older who can get to these locations may also use the Loop.

Intake Process
Registration forms are available from the management of each retirement facility and from STAR. Neighborhood residents should call STAR at 703-892-8747 to request a form. Return the completed form to facility management or STAR.
