Who We Are
The Alzheimer's Association of Greater Richmond offers F.A.M.I.L.I.E.S., Family Access to Memory Impairment and Loss Information, Engagement and Supports, for family caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's or other types of memory loss. This program provides counseling and support for caregivers over several months. There is no cost to program participants because funding is provided by the Alzheimer's Association and Senior Connections.
Benefits of the program include:
- reduced caregiver stress and depression
- increased family support
- opportunities for respite care for loved ones during caregiver counseling sessions
- and more
Counselors will help with:
- assessing your individual situation and concerns
- developing a care plan that works for you and your family
- discussing coping strategies for stress and changes in personality/behavior
- and more
