Low Income Rental Housing

Waynesboro Redevelopment and Housing Authority's (WRHA) opened its first public housing development of sixty-one (61) units in 1974.  Public housing was established to provide decent and safe rental housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.  Public housing comes in all sizes and types, from scattered single family houses to highrise apartments for elderly families.

Since that 1974, the Authority’s public housing inventory has grown to one hundred eighty-eight (188) units on seven (7) scattered sites throughout the City of Waynesboro.
