Lake County Area Agency on Aging (LCAAA) offers legal services. Legal advice and representation by an attorney and counseling or representation by a non-lawyer to older persons with economic or social needs.
Referral can be made to local Legal Aid personnel for those not able to afford an attorney. Names of local attorneys can be given to those who can afford one. Older persons served through this program must be in addition to those who would be eligible for legal services through already existing resources, i.e., Legal Services Corporation (LSC) funding or private bar pro bono efforts.
