Who We Are

Piedmont Workforce Network (PWN) assists the low-income job seeker with the process of obtaining employment. That process includes career planning, assessment, education and training, job readiness skill development, job search assistance and job placement.

The EFI/WIA Adult Program is a federally funded program that helps single parents, displaced homemakers, and low-income adults access the education and training necessary for careers that will allow them to become self-sufficient. This program can help with tuition and books for full and part time students enrolled in vocational technical training. Students may also be eligible for financial assistance for childcare and transportation expenses while attending classes. Along with PVCC Financial Aid, we offers personal, academic, and career guidance to eligible students. A series of workshops are available that provide job-seeking skills and personal enhancement related skills. Information, guidance, and support are also available to those exploring nontraditional career choices.
