Employment Services | VIEW

Powhatan County Department of Social Services offers the VIEW (Virginia Initiative for Employment Not Welfare) program that implements the welfare-to-work process for clients mandated to participate. A Benefit Programs Specialist (BPS) provides benefit services to VIEW participants, including TANF, food stamps and Medicaid.

VIEW Services - Most recipients of TANF are required to participate in the VIEW program. The VIEW Social Worker helps eligible clients assess their strengths and needs to develop and implement employment plans and achieve self-sufficiency goals
