Who We Are

The Hawthorne is a unique cancer resource center funded by The Johns Foundation. It is open 6 days a week for anyone who has been touched by a cancer diagnosis. Resources are comprehensive and the programs are supportive to patients and families. A second resource room is located across from the library. It is equipped with a TV/VCR for viewing videotapes, audio equipment for listening to relaxation and educational tapes and a telephone for scheduling appointments.
The Meeting room located across the back of The Hawthorne provides space for lectures, support groups, workshops and social events.

Provides a single location in the metropolitan Richmond area for all cancer patients, their families and friends to gather to gain social and emotional support as well as to receive extensive cancer education and resource material.
