Who We Are

The Low Vision Learning Center in Alexandria offers a variety of programs and services for people with low vision, including examinations and personalized rehabilitation programs. The Center also provides individuals the opportunity to test the latest in visual aids and low vision technologies.

Each program is designed based on a person's needs.  Any healthcare provider can refer an individual based on an evaluation or the person's request.

The Center is supported by grant from the Julius Fleischman Foundation and is supported by the Virginia Lions Eye Institute Foundation and District 24-A Lions Club.

The Prevention Of Blindness Low Vision Learning Center provides free resource and service navigation, education, and technology trainings for those with low vision. The Center also operates a hotline to provide a virtual way to stay in touch. Learn about and receive support in identifying the resources, services, and technologies right for you
