Budget Counseling and Financial Education, Chesapeake

Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia, Inc. (CCEVA) provides Budget Counseling takes an in-depth look at income and expenses for those who want to take control of their finances. Counselors will help individuals and families set a budget based on income, living expenses, priorities and goals. Future financial problems can be avoided through planning, wise use of credit, education and family money management. All sessions are free and confidential.

Educational Classes on Financial Matters address personal money management and the wise use of credit, with topics such as “Plan your spending—Reach your Goals” and “Beware of Predatory Lending.” All services are confidential.

CCEVA also offers a series of classes addressing the specific needs of seniors. The Silver Lining Series focuses on issues such as Identity Theft and Scams targeting seniors, as well as long-term care planning. Catholic Charities is proud to partner with the City of Virginia Beach and its Bank On Program. The Bank On website includes information about how to enroll, and classes currently being offered through the Bank On initiative.

Additional services include Financial Assistance, Homebuyer Counseling and Mortgage Default Counseling.
