Senior Employment Services

Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is a program designed to provide training and on-the-job experience in community service assignments for older job seekers (age 55 and older) who meet income guidelines; and assist program participants into private or unsubsidized employment. Job counseling, preparing resume, job search plan, assistance with computer-based information and job referral are a few of the benefits of this program.

Program participants are placed in temporary assignments with non-profit or public community service organizations to receive work experience or on-the-job training that will sharpen their employment skills and improve employability.

Participants are paid a supplemental income for hours of training they receive. Job-ready participants are required to actively seek part-time or full-time employment while enrolled in the program.
