Blue Ridge Legal Services, Inc. (BRLS) is a nonprofit charitable law firm providing free legal assistance in civil matters of critical importance to low-income residents of the Shenandoah Valley and Roanoke Valley.

Provides legal assistance ranging from advice or brief service to ongoing representation in negotiations and litigation in state and federal courts, depending on the needs of the client, the type of case and available resources.

Provides civil legal assistance with the following types of case: family, disputes; divorce; problems dealing with debts and bankruptcy; housing and landlord-tenant disputes; eligibility for various governmental benefits such as food stamps, SSI; access to health care; consumer disputes; and issues affecting seniors (exploitation and problems with nursing homes).
