Who We Are

The Richmond Railroad Museum offers a Floodwall Walking Tour, through James River Floodwalk Tours.  The tour is a brisk walking tour lasting about 1.5 hours and covers about one and one half miles. See a half-mile wide view of the James River plus a panoramic view of the city skyline and historic sites including Belle Isle, Tredegar Iron Works, Jefferson's state Capitol and two rail bridges.

Tours are available on the second Sunday of each month, April thru October, weather permitting, at 2:00 PM from the Richmond Railroad Museum, 102 Hull St. The fee includes Museum admission. Conducted walking tour (with 47-step stairway) of S. Richmond’s (Old Manchester) transportation, industrial and human history from 1803 to present. Partly ground level, partly along top of South Bank of Floodwall. River wildlife observed and discussed. 1 - 1/2 hours.
