Who We Are
Centra Hospicde cares for people with a terminal illness and their families. Additional assistance and support is provided to families after a patient's death. Social Workers who help persons diagnosed with a life limiting illness, their families, and communities understand and work through the many dimensions of dying and bereavement. Social work services include counseling, referral, and advocacy. Bereavement support and grief counseling continue for a least one year.
Centra Hospice offers educational and supportive groups for adults dealing with the death of a loved one. The meeting location is at the Centra Hospice Conference Room, 2097 Langhorne Road, Lynchburg. The groups are held throughout the year. View the schedule by clicking here or visit the website.
