Welcome to SeniorNavigator,

Virginia's award-winning program combines the Internet with a network of volunteers to bring over 21,000 health and aging resources - both public and private - to seniors, their families and caregivers.Spring: Allergy Season
It is estimated that more than 50 million Americans suffer from allergic diseases. Sneezing, coughing and watery eyes are just a few of the symptoms allergies can present. Spring is a beautiful time of year in Virginia and all over the United States. Unfortunately, the blooming of trees and flowers brings airborne allergens that can irritate many of us. Learn the basics about airborne allergens and how to cope with them.
One of the most common allergens is pollen. Every spring, summer and fall, tiny pollen grains are released from trees, weeds and grasses triggering allergies such as hay fever. Have you ever wondered how pollen causes allergy or which trees and grasses are the worst offenders? Once you have the facts, there are ways to safeguard yourself and your loved ones from pollen allergies and enjoy the season.
Happy Spring!
A special thank you to our Partners — whose commitment to community and technology allows us to reach all Virginians, with and without internet access, and offer new tools on SeniorNavigator.
