Holy Cross Hospital
Who We Are
The Holy Cross Hospice Bereavement Center is dedicated to supporting individuals who have experienced the recent death of a loved one. Weekly group meetings are designed to meet the needs of the newly bereaved. Specialized groups are provided for those who have suffered the loss of a spouse, parent, child, sibling or close friend.
These groups take place at the Holy Cross Resource Center, located one block from the hospital at 9805 Dameron Drive, Silver Spring. Anyone who has sustained a recent loss and is seeking support as they grieve is welcome to attend. Sessions help the individual to understand the grief process, become aware of normal manifestations of grief, develop a realistic memory of the person who died, understand and express the range of emotions and begin the process of reinvesting oneself back into life. There is no charge.C
