Geriatrician

Geriatrician specializes in medicine dealing with the physiology of aging, and the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the aged. Certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics.

Provides complete primary care with emphasis on prevention and offers geriatric, cognitive, functional and medication assessment (prescription and over-the-counter), physical examinations, nutritional and diet review, checking for sensory impairment, hearing and vision impairment, depression, memory loss, immobility and anxiety. Also available are evaluation of falls, osteoporosis evaluation, evaluation and management of incontinence, elder abuse screening. Nurse Practitioner or PA on staff.
The Primary Care Center is located at University of Virginia Health System on Lee Street.
