Alzheimer's Caregiver Education
Alzheimer's Association, Southeastern Virginia Chapter
Who We Are
The Alzheimer's Association is committed to helping family caregivers improve their knowledge and skills and deliver better care to individuals with dementia and their families. The family orientation sessions for families of recently diagnosed individuals are available each month. Orientations cover a variety of information including an overview of Alzheimer's disease, first steps to take after receiving a diagnosis and helpful community resources.
All orientations are free but registration is required. The Family Orientation is held in Norfolk on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm and the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 1:00pm at the Norfolk Office, 6350 Center Drive, Suite 102. Call 800-272-3900 to RSVP at least 2 days in advance.
