Who We Are

The Chesapeake Health Department serves the residents of Chesapeake.  Some of the services offered are health education, health screenings, HIV/AIDs testing and treatment, immunizations for children, adults, and travel purposes, flu and pneumonia vaccinations, personal preventive health care, monitoring of community health problems, environmental health protection, and more.

Most services are offered on a sliding fee scale based on income. Costs for medical services range from free to full fee based on the service provided and the individual's or family's financial eligibility.  Some services assess flat fees.  An interpreter can be arranged with advanced notice.
