Diabetes and Nutrition Program

Chesapeake Regional Medical Center offers complete diabetes care for adults and children. 
The Diabete and Nutrition program at the Lifestyle Center is a diabetes education program to help individuals manage their diabetes through individual counseling with certified diabetes nurse educators and dietitians, group diabetes education classes called "Diabetes University" and carbohydrate counting classes. A physical referral is required.

Cooking classes teach food preparation that meets your individual health goals, including diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol and weight control.

Inpatient care is offered in the Diabetes Unit.  People who are homebound or recuperating from a recent hospital stay may need home health services.  Home Care Services can provide care and most insurance policies cover the service. call 757.312.6460 for information.
