Who We Are

The Loudoun County Health Department collects information and identifies problems and conditions that potentially affect the health of the public.  Staff provides advice on health-related matters, works to control the spread of disease, and inspects and investigates conditions that may adversely affect public health.

Most services are offered on a sliding fee scale based on income and include:

  • Immunizations
  • Communicable Disease Prevention and Control
  • Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Nutrition
  • Emergency Preparedness & Response
  • Environmental Health
  • Vital Records--birth and death certificates
  • Family Planning
  • Preventive Dental Program
  • Refugee Services

Information on illness prevention, wellness, chronic diseases, communicable diseases, environmental health issues, and many other health-related subjects is available upon request for groups, classes, and organizations.  Please call for more information.
