Grief Support Group
Who We Are
GriefNet is Internet community of persons dealing with grief, death and major loss. Support Groups operate 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Members participate when they wish and are able to. One member sends an email message to the group, everyone in the group receives a copy. This allows many people to respond with love and caring to the thoughts and feelings of an individual, day and night, year round.
Covers a wide area of grief support from death of spouse or partner, death of child or grandchild, death of a sibling, death of a friend, death due to suicide or substance abuse, loss of a parent, grief related to health, and spiritual aspects of loss.
All groups are monitored by trained volunteers. The director is Cendra Lynn, PhD., clinical psychologist and grief therapist. The site also contains library of books, list of resources, memorials, and a kid's section.
Almost 50 e-mail support groups exist, including support groups for Veterans and their loved one. Our integrated approach to on-line grief support provides help to people working through loss and grief issues of many kinds.
