Who We Are
Easter Seals Project ACTION (ESPA) is a national online assistance project funded through a cooperative agreement with the United States Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration. Easter Seals Project ACTION encourages and facilitates cooperation between the disability and transportation communities with the goal of achieving universal access through transportation for persons with disabilities nationwide. Information is provided by the National Aging and Disability Transportation Center (NADTC).
ESPA sponsored training, technical assistance, resources and publications offer user-friendly information on the implementation of the Americans WIth Disabilities (ADA) in all aspects of transportation. Direct requests for technical assistance can be made through the toll free hotline or via e-mail. Technical assistance provided by ESPA should not be considered to be legal advice or the opinion of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) office of Civil Rights. Materials on the ADA and transportation are reviewed by the FTA’s office of Civil Rights prior to publication.
Browse the website to gather more information on how the ADA applies to transportation issues and sign up for our free training events and download or order publications and resources.
