Who We Are

Whitman-Walker Addiction Services (WWAS) provides outpatient addiction treatment. The program is staffed by addiction treatment professionals and specially- trained volunteers. Group and individual counseling are available to help address the consequences of substance abuse while transitioning to a clean and sober lifestyle. Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) - designed to  help persons on drugs and/or alcohol to remain clean and sober.  The abstinence based program helps clients learn about addiction as a disease, develop a strong recovery support network, etc.

Outpatient Program (OP) - designed to address substance abuse problems and/or those with co-occurring problems of substance with mental health concerns.

Harm Reduction - 10 week psycho-educational group that helps the client reduce harmful or negative consequences associated with drug and/or alcohol use.

Individual Psychotherapy - one-one-one treatment to address substance abuse.

Provides outpatient recovery therapy and aftercare programs for alcoholism and drug addiction. Can satisfy court-ordered DWI sentences and rehabilitation. Operates a halfway house for gays and lesbians in recovery. Offers co-dependency group for significant others.
