Take the Wheel! Driving the Life You've Imagined

Take the Wheel! Driving the Life You've Imagined is an event open to anyone who is blind or vision impaired, or anyone who wants to learn how to help a family member or friend who is blind or experiencing vision loss take control of his or her own life.

Questions like these will be answered:
• how to conduct a successful job search as a person who is blind?
• what skills a blind person would need to increase his independence?
• how to use a computer or cell phone with low vision or none at all?
• how to organize and take medications as a blind person?
• how a blind person would cut vegetables and measure liquids?
• how to best support your child who is blind or vision impaired in school?
• what peer support groups are out there, and how they might benefit your family?
• what resources are available to someone who is blind or vision impaired?
